Jala Wright

Duke

I am a professional pitcher for the Texas Smoke and a graduate assistant at the University of Tennessee.

Previously, I played for Duke University, where I earned accolades such as NCAA Women’s Finalist of the Year, Unanimous ACC Pitcher of the Year, and competed in the NCAA College World Series. I was Duke’s first-ever Pitcher of the Year and hold the record for most strikeouts in a single game (17).

With experience at the international level, the highest levels of college softball, and now as a professional, I’m passionate about helping young, talented softball players elevate their game. Growing up, I would have benefited from guidance on the recruitment process, training cycles, and the lifestyle needed to excel as an elite athlete.
