Meadow Carmen
Brown
Hello! I’m Meadow Carman, a senior defensemen and captain on the Brown Women’s Ice Hockey team. Originally from Barton, Nova Scotia, my sophomore year I played for the Metro Boston Pizza AAA team where we won Atlantics to make the ESSO cup. Junior and Senior year I captained Pursuit of Excellence Hockey Academy in Kelowna, British Columbia, going undefeated in our Senior year as Stoney Creek Champions and CSSHL Champions.
Being a leader in both athletics and academics at Brown University for the past three years has equipped me with many tools and resources to offer guidance for young athletes as they navigate the recruitment process.
In my virtual mentorship, I aim to:
First build a strong relationship with my athlete to best tailor my resources to their goals
Foster a safe environment where my athlete feels comfortable to communicate all of their highs and lows throughout the recruiting process
Provide leadership and strategies for performance, personal growth, mindfulness, visualization skills and mindset techniques to help you achieve your goals
Highlight the importance of effective communication between all the moving parts within the recruitment process
Share personal experiences and decision making strategies to better aid your recruitment process and transition from high school to college
Be a friend and fellow athlete you can lean on for all aspects of your recruitment journey
Looking back on my recruiting process, knowing what I know now, I wish I had the opportunity to have a personal mentorship. I want every student athlete to have the same incredible college experience I did and it all starts NOW! I look forward to connecting with you all.
