Monica Petulla
MIT
Hello! My name is Monica Petulla and I’m a rising sophomore on the MIT women’s lacrosse team. I grew up in Natick, Massachusetts, and attended Natick Public Schools. At Natick high, I was a three season athlete and varsity captain, earning 11 Varsity letters during my time there. Off the fields, I challenged myself academically across 9 AP classes and graduated at the top of my class.
As a highly competitive student and athlete, I have developed an arsenal of skills including short and long term goal-setting, mental toughness, mindset reframing, and time management. I am looking to mentor young student athletes who are passionate about achieving success in athletics, academics, and college recruitment. My mission is to provide these individuals with involved, honest, and effective mentorship throughout the recruitment process.
As a mentor, I will:
Give honest and up to date advice regarding the college athletics recruiting process to help students maximize recruiting success
Provide tools such as recruiting email templates, recruiting video review, and off-season training plans to help students build meaningful relationships with college coaches
Help students create realistic goals and effective timelines both on and off the field
Build habits to improve time management skills specific to student athletes at both the high school and collegiate level
Offer mindset training to improve confidence and build grit
Act as an outlet for student athletes to manage and deal with the pressures of the recruiting process
