Nina Petulla
MIT
Hi everyone! My name is Nina Petulla and I am a rising sophomore on the MIT women’s lacrosse team. I grew up in Natick, Massachusetts, and attended Natick Public Schools. As a three-sport athlete at Natick High, I was a 3x Varsity captain and earned 11 Varsity letters despite sustaining an ACL and meniscus injury during my junior year lacrosse season. My experiences as a rehabilitated student-athlete at an academically rigorous school have helped me develop valuable skills such as goal-oriented training, mental grit, time management, and flexibility through challenging circumstances.
My mission is to provide effective guidance for student-athletes with a desire to pursue strong athletic and academic careers in college. I hope my mentorship will help high schoolers navigate the recruiting process by forming actionable steps toward their overarching goals.
As a mentor, I will:
Give fresh insight into the college athletics recruiting process to help others get started
Provide tools such as recruiting email templates, recruiting video review, and off-season training plans
Help create a realistic timeline with effective steps toward achieving big-picture goals (both in the classroom and on the field)!
Teach time management skills that are essential for balancing school, sport, and social life at both the high school and collegiate level
Build confidence and focus on maintaining a positive mindset to manage pressures from within and outside the recruiting process
