Thomas Manty
Brown
My name is Thomas Manty, and I am a rising junior at Brown University. Originally from Andover, Massachusetts, I attended Central Catholic High School before transitioning to Phillips Academy in Andover for two years of prep school. Following my graduation, I played junior hockey where I spent a year in the BCHL with the Merritt Centennials and another year for the Aberdeen Wings in the NAHL.
During my time in high school and juniors, I found the college recruiting process to be confusing and frustrating at times. On top of that, managing the day-to-day lifestyle of a student athlete was also something I found to be a challenge. As a CGM mentor, I'm excited to take my experiences and lessons I've learned through the recruiting process, my hockey career, and even life and use them to help others achieve their dreams.
As your mentor, I will be committed to help you achieve the following:
Setting long and short term goals
Creating a plan that balances your academics and athletics
Navigating through the recruiting process
Identifying who you are as a player and what you bring to a college roster
Building confidence through positivity
Building quality leadership skills
I would also be happy to provide off-ice training plans that include workout programs, shooting, and stickhandling drills!
