Zoe Katz

Hamilton

Hi! My name is Zoe Katz and I am a Hamilton College Women’s Ice Hockey player. I also played soccer (goalie) at Hamilton until I sustained a career ending shoulder injury during my sophomore season. I’m here to answer some of the questions that I know I had when I went through the recruiting process, and to use my knowledge and experience to support other young athletes who want to do the same.

I am originally from Andover, MA where I attended The Pike School for kindergarten through eighth grade. I then went on to Milton academy where I played both soccer and hockey. Growing up I played hockey with the boys until seventh grade, at which point I switched to play for Assabet Valley. When I was at Milton, I played for the Boston Junior Eagles for a year and then for the Wizards. My goal is to be a resource to young athletes who are passionate and motivated to pursue the next level in their sports and want to harness the best mindset to do so.

Focus areas of the mentorship:

  • Mental toughness

  • Setting goals

  • Healthy habits

  • Academics and time management

  • College recruiting advice

  • Leading a balanced life

I know how daunting the recruiting process can feel, and how much stress and pressure is associated with it. I definitely felt that during my recruiting process, and I wish I had a college player’s perspective and support when I was going through it, so I would love to provide that to someone else. You can sign up for my mentorship link below! I cannot wait to meet you.
